Separation of church and state has made America an exemplar of religious pluralism and tolerance. Imagine what separation of school and state could do for education.

I read an article I believe in the Tribune that reported several schools in Utah are being forced to replace their principals by the feds because of low test scores.

One of the worst things to happen to public education was letting the federal government into the classroom back in 1904. It has been a steady decline ever since. One of the dumbest things GWB did, and there are MANY, was sign NCLB into law.

Sometimes my comprehension is slow to sink into my brain. The schooldistricts only have to change the principals if they choose to accept the federal monies. I guess in light of the economic situation there is not much choice. I found it really ironic though that the principals are not going to lose their jobs. They are going to just shuffle the principals around. I will try to find the article again and link it here.
