| Israel cannot wait until the fuel is loaded in the reactor before destroying it or it will create a "dirty bomb". It has to happen before the 21st. | |

| So much for diplomacy.....
I can't even begin to enumerate the warning signs that were ignored in the name of a 'different' solution. See what happens....

| ....ha and it's was all about Iraq and Afganstan...just a facade by me...and I can say all of us were dubbed me included...
I'm here to tell you IMHO Iran is a country to be seriously considered as EVIL WITH 'NO' good intentions involved...
Unfortunately folks who see this in IRAN are no longer allowed to speak if they're even alive...only a matter of time with this issue until the WHOLE WORLD SEEs Iran's current government FWIW...an upcoming super power bent on destroying that part of Mother Earth...if something doesn't happen...I'm seeing WWIII beginning in the Middle East...WAKE UP CIVILIZED WORLD!!!!!

| An ingenious example of speech and politics occurred recently in the United Nations Assembly which made the world community smile. A representative from Israel began: "Before beginning my talk I want to tell you something about Moses. When he struck the rock and it brought forth water, he thought, 'What a good opportunity to have a bath!' He removed his clothes, put them aside on the rock and entered the water. When he got out and wanted to dress, his clothes had vanished. A Palestinian had stolen them."
The Palestinian representative jumped up furiously and shouted, "What are you talking about? The Palestinians weren't there then!"
The Israeli representative smiled and said, "And now that we have made that clear, I will begin my speech."

http://www.ornery.org/essays/warwatch/2010-08-15-1.html Thanks Yonni. I'll respond to Card's essay. - Orson Scott Card wrote:
- Iran's current government of evil fanatics (evil being defined as "willing to kill anyone to remake the world as they think it should be") has repeatedly announced its intention to destroy Tel Aviv, Israel's most populous and most Jewish city, as soon as Iran has nukes and a delivery mechanism.
I don't like the Iranian government. That said, nearly every paragraph of Card's opinion piece is either factually wrong, incredibly biased, riddled with half truths or mistaken. I could go point by point through his entire piece, but I'm going to limit my response to just the paragraph above. The Iranian government calls the U.S. evil, and Card calls the Iranian government evil. Evil or not, I don't think there's much to support Card's contention that the Iranian government would "kill anyone to remake the world as they think it should be." Once again, the Iranians accuse the U.S. of something similar, and they actually have reason to be wary of us — the U.S. has attacked, overthrown the governments and occupied countries on both sides of Iran within the past ten years. Iran may or may not be working on developing an atomic bomb, but they have never, as Card contends, announced that they would detonate a nuclear weapon over Tel Aviv as soon as they get a bomb and a delivery mechanism. Actually, the Iranians contend, truthfully or not, that they're not developing an atomic bomb at all. Again, I'm not an apologist for the fanatics in Tehran who have stated that they'd like to wipe Israel off the map (which Amadenajad has said). What I'm saying is that Card is factually wrong in his specifics, so biased in his opinions and so unable to see both sides that the conclusions he reaches are, essentially, worthless. - plotrunner wrote:

This apocryphal story has been floating around the Internet for some time now. There are various versions of it, and at least one that uses the same story with different players to justify India's claims against the Pakistanis over Kashmir. If I were a Ute Indian, I could justify my claims to Utah using the same logic, as in, "My ancestors lived here before your ancestors kicked out and marginalized my ancestors." If I were a Mexican, I could use the same logic for a claim against most of the western United States.

Yeah, I figured that's why you posted it. It really surprises me, though, that lots of people apparently do buy into this kind of flotsam that drifts around the Internet.

| I'm having a difficult time understanding why BB would have let them make this kind of progress. That is, if this can be substantiated. Our President certainly doesn't give a damn. | |
