| Wikileaks just dropped another bombshell on the world today. And, the info was apparently provided by the same piece of garbage PFC Manning. http://cablegate.wikileaks.org/ | |

| I wonder how this will be spun for political gains?
How much info did this Pfc have? Seems a bit much...
Honestly this doesn't bother me... I must have become way too cynical!!!

Honestly this doesn't bother me... I must have become way too cynical!!! The first leak by him was about 91,000 documents and this one is about 250,000. The leaks are said to contain many private, classified, secret and otherwise, documents taken from embassies, heads of state, etc. Secret dealings between countries and the US, obviously secret, so shit actually gets done. On the one hand, it's nice to see what is really going on in the Black house, but really bad if a country thought they could trust us with how they really thought about things, only to have these documents leaked. I think PFC Manning should be tried for treason.

I can assure you he didn't have access to anything that would have an effect on National Security. There is a bunch of political embarrasment over this due to unflattering things said about leaders of other countries. It is much ado about nothing.

He did get access though, and that obviously is a problem. By his own account he carried around a flash drive and downloaded what he was able to get. 300,000 documents is a bit much, looks like the State department needs to clean house and change the way info is accessed........ Furthermore, you don't see the passing of classified and secret information and communications as treason, especially when the whole world gets to see it? Believe me, I'm not as worked up as you think. That dude is treasonous bastard, and the release of those documents does nothing but tarnish America's reputation even further.

AgreedFurthermore, you don't see the passing of classified and secret information and communications as treason, especially when the whole world gets to see it? Not to sure it rises to the level of treason it is not as though he was selling state secrets to help an enemy over throw the govt,to be sure what he did was wrong and Iwould suspect he will be dishonorably discharged and possibly spend some time at hard labor at Leavenworth.Believe me, I'm not as worked up as you think. That dude is treasonous bastard, and the release of those documents does nothing but tarnish America's reputation even further. or=red]I think it is just another black eye for Obamas administration and illustrates just how deep his arrogance goes considering the unflattering things he and his top aides said about leaders that are supposed to be our friends.

| If pfc Manning was releasing the documents in order to shed light on the horrible failings of the Obama administration then he should be promoted to colonel. | |

Indeed. There is some evidence through his Facebook posts that he MAY have done it because he was angry at the military's "Don't ask, Don't tell policy." Some have suggested that he had a "gay agenda", whatever that means. I think it still remains to be seen why he would do it.

| Julian Assange, the owner of Wikileaks, is now on Interpol's most wanted list for sexual crimes. He has also threatened to leak cables and info about Russia. How long do you think it'll take the Russian's to whack him and dump his body in a field? | |
