- At today's oil prices of roughly $90 per barrel, slashing imports that much would save the U.S. $175 billion a year. Last year, when oil averaged $78 per barrel, the U.S. sent $260 billion overseas for crude, accounting for nearly half the country's $500 billion trade deficit.
Lets see how many liberals oppose this.........

| "Oil engineers are applying what critics say is an environmentally questionable method developed in recent years to tap natural gas trapped in underground shale. They drill down and horizontally into the rock, then pump water, sand and chemicals into the hole to crack the shale and allow gas to flow up." Sounds like a GREAT Idea to me..... Never can pump enough CHEMICALS in to mother earth. | |

| Nice cherry picking. I wonder why you didn't include the rest of the paragraph; the part where the EPA (progressives dream regulatory org.) says they have found it to be safe. Do you even know what chemicals they are pumping into "mother earth"? | |

| "an environmentally questionable method"
What exactly did I misunderstand about the above quote???
So this generation CAN'T leave the next generation in debt, but This generation CAN leave them one shithole of a planet and it's ok??
The BP well in the Gulf was using approved methods until the started pumping sea water in to the drill hole instead of oil. That ended well didn't it??
I find it pretty damn funny that MOST Ultraconservatives will lap up whatever Corporate America puts out there.

What exactly did I misunderstand about the above quote??? What your little pinhead missed was this statement was from an ENVIRONMENTALIST, not from someone above reproach. Try paying attention!
So this generation CAN'T leave the next generation in debt, but This generation CAN leave them one shithole of a planet and it's ok?? Why do you think God put natural resources here? Was it just to admire and as a temptation, or do you think they were put here for our use/benefit? Fracking, like many other methods used to avail ourselves to natural resources, can be fairly environmentally friendly.
The BP well in the Gulf was using approved methods until the started pumping sea water in to the drill hole instead of oil. That ended well didn't it?? A perfect example of a government caused 'crisis'. The ONLY reason BP or anyone else is drilling in 500'+ of water is because of idiots like yourself that shutdown oil extraction on shore and in shallower water.
I find it pretty damn funny that MOST Ultraconservatives will lap up whatever Corporate America puts out there. I'll take your word for it, since I am NOT a 'ultraconservative', whatever you think one is.

| I'm not and if it goes to $7 our economy will atrophy immediately. "Never can pump enough CHEMICALS in to mother earth." What planet did those chemicals come from? | |

| Seems like just yesterday the progressives were blaming GWB for the high gas prices and protesting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I wonder what happened to all those folks..................... | |

| I was meaning that they got what they really wanted, which was a ( fill in the blank ) POTUS that would keep them in power and pass forward their agenda.
You can't really believe that they wanted lower gas prices, when they probably don't even pay for their own gas.... High gas prices then, just gave them mud to sling.
