Senate passes bill blocking public access to many government records

Why create such a forum?

Several reason's have lead me to create this forum but the biggest is the over moderation and censorship on previous forums that I have visited has inspired to to create a forum solely about today's politics. Today's politics are more controversial than they ever have been and …

The Rules here are very simple

-No Attacking a person's race and/or religion
-No Personal Threats (this includes the politicians)
-Stay on Topic
-No links to porn sites and nudity
-Swearing is allowed but it has to be appropriate and NO F-bombs and other grossly vulgar words

-Don't be a douchebag

Most offensives will get a warning, however you may not even get a warning and you may be banned, …

Does anybody else see a problem here? After my senator told me in an email that he really didn't give a crap what the public thinks and he'll vote any damn way he pleases, we get this bill from both Houses of the legislature telling us we can't have access to public records without jumping through a bunch of hoops that are going to make it cost us a bunch more money and impede the Hell out of the journey. It's a very bad move on their part. I'm voting against my rep and senator next election, again. Crying or Very sad

Finally something most of us can agree on. Our Utah legislature is a joke.

My " Good Old Boy, Sheeple RepubliRAT" Rep Hutchings voted for this hunk of shit
Bill.... My Democrat Senator however represented her District and opposed this hunk of shit...

They had on the news teaser last night: "How much did Herbert know about this HB477 before signing it and when?"

Thing is, they quickly wrote it, pushed it through committee (did the committee even have time to vote?) and had it through both house & senate in less than 72 hours --- how much could ANYBODY know about it and WHEN, with that timeline, fer Pete sake?!?

Pretty asinine that this happened on the local level!

Does anybody want to make book on this being challenged in the courts? This is absolute bovine excremate of the highest odor.

Since Senetor Jenkins has already told me in writting that he doesn't care what his constituents think, my email to him will probably go unanswered and unheeded. But I wrote it and sent it to him anyway. scratch
