Why create such a forum?

Several reason's have lead me to create this forum but the biggest is the over moderation and censorship on previous forums that I have visited has inspired to to create a forum solely about today's politics. Today's politics are more controversial than they ever have been and …

So true, DinD ... Utah rejected money for Unemployment, but applied for funds for UDOT for high speed rail project ...

Wasn't the reasoning for rejecting the unemployment $$$ that Utah can stand alone without Federal $$$ ?

No, not even close.

The reason was to have the Deeret News, Tribune, KSL, KUTV and all the other media prostitutes tell the story of how UT politicans are true heros who can't be bought with mere food for the masses and medicine for the sick.
No, they want the real gold, money for highways so that they can give away another 13 million with no paperwork and the board members can buy land before UDOT does so they can sell it to UDOT for millions morethan they paid for it.
Now they will say that the money will create jobs, save transportation costs, stimulate the economy selling Syncrete and machinery, that's what they will say.

Then they will roll out a couple of thousand "guest workers" to do the work after it is designed by a firm in California, they will buy foreign made machinery, slow transporation and ruin businesses while construction is underway.
