Necrosis is the premature death of cells and living tissue that is always detrimental and can be fatal. When necrotic tissue builds up it must be removed.
This is the forum frequently asked questions section and will always be a work in progress.
Why create such a forum?
Several reason's have lead me to create this forum but the biggest is the over moderation and censorship on previous forums that I have visited has inspired to to create a forum solely about today's politics. Today's politics are more controversial than they ever have been and …
-No Attacking a person's race and/or religion
-No Personal Threats (this includes the politicians)
-Stay on Topic
-No links to porn sites and nudity
-Swearing is allowed but it has to be appropriate and NO F-bombs and other grossly vulgar words
-Don't be a douchebag
Most offensives will get a warning, however you may not even get a warning and you may be banned, …
My religious background does not use a cross as a symbol of our religion and it does not appear in our chapels. However, this symbol is not remotely offensive to me and in a strange way commands a sense of gratitude and respect when I see one marking a grave site or location someone has passed away at.
I understand the whole concept of separation of church and state, but I wonder if there is a point where that separation has gone too far. It seems that the amount of money and effort that has gone into the proposed removal of these symbols could have been used elsewhere.
Not saying they are right or wrong. But this seems like someone has way too much time on their hands and a stick up their butt to make such a big deal out of this. Cant the families of these fallen patrolmen memorialize their loved ones without having to justify their loss?
It really seems that we have reached the point where those who call evil "good" and good "evil."
Now for the counter argument:
What are your thoughts?
PS: lets keep this constructive and civil

Let me start off by saying that my opinion is somewhat biased in that I am working towards becoming a state trooper with the Utah Highway Patrol. That being said I have a few problems with the atheist arguments the first being as far as I am concerned the cross is the universal symbol a memorial or burial where someone had died regardless of religion. Second how are these crosses on government land any different than the thousands of crosses that are at Arlington National Cemetery, is that not government land? I would not have a problem if I was killed in the line of duty being honored with my name on a cross. My religion doesn't use the cross but it would not bother me (not that I would be around to be bothered by it) to be memorialized by a cross. This is just another stupid lawsuit that is wasting the governments time and resources, the money that was spent by the state trying fight this lawsuit could have gone to hiring another trooper.

In my opinion, the 10th Circuit and the US Supreme Courts got it wrong. There is no way that the UHP Memorial Crosses were ever a promotion of religion by government. The cross isn’t even a religious symbol of the mainstream religion in the state. My heart goes out to the families of these fallen Troopers for the additional hurt they must now be feeling in addition to the loss suffered upon the Trooper’s death.
