I applaud the cuts being made. All Hill will lose are a couple layers of useless management. Our elected officials quoted in the article are spouting nonsense.

Being a tad bit dishonest, vor? First, I seem to recall NUMEROUS times that YOU have called for a reduction in military spending..... Second, how is this the fault of the Tea Party? Third, I see this as a GOOD thing. Yes, it will be painful to cut the scope of the government, but it MUST be done!

If bringing our troops home is what you consider calling for defense cuts then
you would be correct. Other than that I can't remember ever asking for defense to be cut.

Let me explain this as if I were addressing a 1st grader; you want reductions in military spending by bringing our troops home, but ironically (is that too big of a word for you?) you don't want military spending cuts at bases. Tell me, what purpose do military bases serve? Are they supposed to be the primary employer for communities/states, or are they supposed to be for defense? Places like Hill Air Force Base are examples of crony-capitalism at its finest/worst. The demand for the products/services offered by HAFB are 100% manufactured by FORCE, not demand from customers. There is no profit motive, thus immense waste is ensured/expected/encouraged. You claim to be against the crony-capitalism that is funding Wall Street, but you support the crony-capitalism that is funding military bases.............do I need to add pictures for you, or did this manage to pass through your dense skull?

They are a fighter wing and logistical support. So lets get rid of the fighter
portion of life ( BAD MOVE ) and send the logistic portion to Oklahoma. Even worse move.

I struggle and will continue to struggle with simple people like you that can't get past the need to apply a price tag to EVERY MOTHER EFFING thing in life.
If you and Jason Chaffetz feel the need to sell every stitch of Federal land, or
drop a well head in every meadow just to turn a buck of PROFIT or offset
a legitimate cost we'll never see eye to eye.

Wait a minute, I thought you were all about peace, love, and happiness. WTH do we need a fighter wing for if the world is 'united'? Are you seriously suggesting HAFB has no pork that needs to be cut?
