One week

Well this place has been alive for one week now, over 40 members and 800+ posts. WOW is all that comes to mind, it's because of all of you that make this place successful, so thanks!!! I hope this place will last, bear with me, I had the colors where I wanted them then I fubar'd it all up, so there may be changes of how things look, but that will be the only changes planned. I look forward to many more great topics to be discussed!!!

No, I just don't like poachers which is breaking the law. Everyone trashes poachers on the UWN forum so what makes Zim so "special?"

God never wrote a commandment that says Thou shalt not Poach. This has nothing to do with religion.

Poacher or not, Zim isn't here to defend himself. I suggest CS, that you refer to the rules, and refrain from talking about him in that way.

Sorry little green man. His name was bought up (not by me) and I wondered what the verdict was. I guess if I found a link to the poaching story then it would be alright then.

No need to apologize buddy. I think we ought to have a little more respect, even if he's guilty or not.

I think the link would serve to inform the people, but I do no think we should be "airing out" someone's dirty laundry in such a blatant way.

Maybe the Admin and the mods should consider this thread, and maybe offer some clarification.

Supposing it is okay to talk about someone in that, I would assume that it should have its own thread anyway.

Where was I being disrepectful? I asked a question on the verdict. I treat all poachers equally.

For all the religion you spew CS, you are the least Christ-like poster I know. It's almost as if you wish to crucify those whose mistakes are different than you mistakes on the cross...

The outcome of court cases (like poacher zim's) are public documents, check it out there.

Slander and libel are defensible if the truth is worse or as bad as the accusations.

It's they way you bring things up CS. We weren't even talking about poaching, and you just slid the poaching thing in there, when someone was talking about Zim. It's no secret you two have butted heads. And you posting that comment the way you did, made you look like you had an axe to grind. That's why other people have commented the way they did.

Naw it's because people need to lighten up a little bit. If it's true and Zim did poach then he's no different than any other poacher. I don't get on the gutpile so I figured I would ask about it here since there was a love feast on the UWN forum.

Another point is......we can talking about every other lowlife poachers like we have, but if anyone (like myself) asks a question about Zim's situation then we are labeled a "Douche Bag. " We have gone along ways in our double standards. I treat all poachers the same.

Then I better not see another thread posted about poachers otherwise people are hypocrites. We should give them all a FREE pass.

I don't see what CS did that was so 'out of line'. If people, friends or not, were convicted of poaching shouldn't true sportsmen condemn such acts? I am NOT suggesting the people involved should be condemned, but the act(s) surely should. Maybe Cs could have brought it up in a more appropriate way, but nonetheless the topic is now in play. I DO have issues with ZIM, and I have made no secret about it, nor has he with me. That is why I will NOT comment on what I KNOW about this on here. Maybe it is my "black heart" getting in the way, or maybe it is the accusations made against me last fall, but I am staying out of this except to say I think people are wrongly condemning CS and wrongly excusing acts by friends that are WRONG if the accusations are true. One of the others involved in this mess is someone I consider a friend and someone I have great respect for, so maybe that is why I am not airing my views on the matter in a public forum.

Pro I know you and Zim have had issues in the past as has CS and Zim. The biggest difference is you don't try to shove your religion down everybodies throat nor do you rely on said religion to justify every position you take. When CS does it it is a thinly veiled attempt to call someone out that lives a lifestyle that is morally wrong to him. You touched on it. Zim was not the only person involved or cited in this situation. Yet he is the only one to be called out publicly. I no more believe this was an egregious case of poaching than if I heard you were accused of the same offense. Zim has given many hours of service to wildlife in this state as have you. There is a big difference between being cited for a violation and being a douche bag poacher such as that family that was just arrested for their acts down on the vernon unit.
