Several reason's have lead me to create this forum but the biggest is the over moderation and censorship on previous forums that I have visited has inspired to to create a forum solely about today's politics. Today's politics are more controversial than they ever have been and …

I agree that nobody wants to actually support the details of the bill, because both of the parties have been living high on the hog, and WHO wants to get off a gravy train? And that is the problem with politicians, they have no integrity, morals, or honor. And we, are paying a high price for it. Spending needs to stop, like E-brake stop, right now! Obama, doesn't get it, Democrats don't believe it, and Republicans are too spineless to stand up for fiscal conservatism, which unfortunately USED to be one of their core beliefs........ I think Americans are proper fooked right now.

I really wish I could pay the same effective tax rate as the super rich. Yes they do pay more. BUT to say that they have the same effective tax rate as the middle class citizens is absolutely dishonest. Evil or Very Mad

Your logic is flawed here, a flat tax means a tax at a constant rate, or a percentage. A rich person that buys more and expensive things than someone else still pays the same rate. The end dollar amount is the only thing different.

I'm not objecting to the rich paying taxes, I was simply pointing out a tactic that the left uses to NOT pass any form of tax cuts. Most people are jealous of the rich, and would hate for anything to benefit them. The left knows this and is able to block tax cuts AND enlarge the government in one fell swoop. THAT is genius, if that's you're goal.

The point is mute, if every dollar was taxed from every individual, business, and investment 100% we still could not pay for our debt. Why continue to spend? The process to start the trend around should have started years ago, but we have to start sometime, like now. I am afraid it won't with the chicken shit GOP, do nothing dems, and a Pres who will just write a Presidential order to reverse anything the congress/supreme court does.
