Why create such a forum?

Several reason's have lead me to create this forum but the biggest is the over moderation and censorship on previous forums that I have visited has inspired to to create a forum solely about today's politics. Today's politics are more controversial than they ever have been and …

The Rules here are very simple

-No Attacking a person's race and/or religion
-No Personal Threats (this includes the politicians)
-Stay on Topic
-No links to porn sites and nudity
-Swearing is allowed but it has to be appropriate and NO F-bombs and other grossly vulgar words

-Don't be a douchebag

Excellent post FB.

The whole time I read this the only thing I could think about was home ownership. In the end, even if you outright "own" your house, you still don't own it, because you still pay taxes on it. It is not your property, because failure to pay taxes would resort in state seizure of your property. Sad. Most of Americans will never know what freedom really is.....

Really interesting post FB. It made me a little sick to realize that I have become somewhat complacent to the fact that things like taxes really limit my freedom.

Yes, taxes are necessary to enjoy certain benefits of being an American citizen (police, military, medicare / medicade, public schools, roads, etc), but there is a point where enough is enough.

I am a 100% commission based salesman, and feel as though Uncle Sam wants to screw me over more than any one else with a salary job. I tend to pay higher taxes than most other individuals. Why? Is it because I am actually earning what I am worth instead of just expecting a paycheck? If I dont work, I dont get paid. If a salaried individual works 75% of the time that he/she is actually paid for, they may never get caught, and yet they are paying less in taxes. Feels like my freedom to earn an income to support my family is being infringed upon if you ask me.

Shotgunwill also makes a great point. Seems like property taxes need to be reexamined if you ask me....

The fundamental difference this nation enjoyed....long ago...over any nation before was property ownership. From land to intellectual properties. As this GOD given right is being usurped by tyrannical government policies, our liberty and true freedom is becoming nothing more than a myth. The best way to enslave a people is to place them in debt. I ask you, who in America is truly free?
