I will go as far as saying extremes stances are what is wrong with this country. Most people are somewhere in between, but the extremes are what are controlling everything. The saying, the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Nothing wrong with some gray, IMO.

Extreme will change through out time, it is dynamic. What was extreme 50 years ago may not be extreme today and vice versus. Extreme is going in one direction as far as anyone. So for example in politics, such as healthcare, one extreme is give everyone in the country free healthcare and the other extreme is fully let the market fend for itself. Black and white. There are examples where black and white are alright, but in politics black and white generally doesn't work. It is somewhat naive to take such complex issues and make them elementary.

Speaking of Israel. I just read a news report that Helen Thomas abruptly retired after some not so favorable comments about Israel. I for one am glad I will not have to listen to that old bag hurl ignorant and slanderous questions from her front row seat.

I'm hearing that we've only heard half of the story too. Apparently, she said even more in her interview that got her canned, but the media is holding back the rest of the story...go figure. Someone please post it if you get to it before I do.
