-No Personal Threats (this includes the politicians)
-Stay on Topic

Republicans have strong potential to win both. Now, may The People choose their representatives with more wisdom this time around. Let us pray.

If that were possible, it would be good, but people don't usually make their decisions based upon a candidate's ability to govern. Instead, people tend to vote for the person who has run the best campaign and is best at delivering whatever inspiration the country is in need of hearing at the time.

It's really an odd way to apply for a job. Instead of those who are best at governing being elected, the people who are best at campaigning and raising money are elected instead. In other words, most elected officials are geniuses at campaigning but amateurs when it comes to governing. The whole system shares a lot in common with high school student body elections — it's basically a popularity contest that determines who's coolest, most charismatic and most likable.

I don't have any good advice on how to improve the system other than, possibly, making the campaigns shorter, but it likely wouldn't make much difference. As Churchill said, "Democracy is the worst form of government, except all those other forms that have been tried ."

OK, fair enough no hyperduck this time, but I would ask that you please be nice to Dick. He's a highly intelligent dude with an unfortunate name.

Fox is fair and balanced. They have the two libtard morons, Juan Williams and Bob Beckel, on all of the time to remind us that Liberalism is a mental disordor and a sickness of the soul. rabbit This is exactly why the Dems. are going take a pounding in November. Very Happy

I have been on the campaign team for a few politicians, and it was enough to keep me from running for any major office EVER.

I do NOT want either party to control both Houses. I prefer gridlock, and the best way to have gridlock is to have one House under the GOP and the other under the Democrats. This would prevent many of the nightmare legislation such as Obamacare and the soon to be passed financial 'reform' nightmare. Gridlock is good, bi-partisanship is bad!
