What do you mean? I see a guy who is just mad because this bill didn't pass. Whether you agree with it or not it was handled the right way, more people didn't want it then did. That is the way the government was set up.

I agree with you here.

But, I took some time to learn about this particular nugget, and have two things to say about it.

One, I agree with what he said. Especially, where he points out, if you believe in a bill, you vote yes. I don't like how he said it, but to each his own.

Second, 7 billion dollars seems like a bit much.

I do agree that they should have past it, I believe if anyone deserves Federal help for health care it should be the ones that helped during the 9/11 attacks. Although seven billion is quite a bit.

The issue as I see it wasn't that the repubs didn't want to help the 9/11 responders. They do. They just wanted to add some smart amendments to keep it "real". 7 Billion means that each affected responder will get what, $3 million? I would never expect you, my fellow taxpayers to give me $3 million because I suffered a work-related illness. Never.

Sorry if it seems I have pointed you out, but I have given Berg just as much crap about posting links with no commentary of why he posted such link, Berg knock it off!

It is my hope that instead of posting a link with no explanation or a comment totally unrelated, that we stay on topic and explain why we feel/believe the way we do. Politics can be more passionate than religion at times driving all parties nuts. But I believe that through mature discussion and respectful dialogue that this forum can be a place all feel welcome. I apologize if you no longer felt welcome, but I was going nuts reading posts about why some people are a spazz, or insane or whatever. We are all adults, and most pretty dang intelligent for a bunch of Utah rednecks, so let's enjoy these topics and remember that when it comes down too it we are really all friends with a lot more in common then would be believed.

It should NOT matter whether one 'deserves' Federal aid or not, whether we can 'afford' such aid or not, all that SHOULD matter is whether it is Constitutionally allowable to FORCE people to aid other Americans? I say NO! The federal government has NO right to do so, even if the majority deem it to be 'earned' aid. Tyranny and usurpation comes in various means, and it happens with the blessing of the majority just as often as not.

True Pro, No one should be FORCED to pay, but I think the majority of Americans would be WILLING to give those people federal dollars to help with health care,IMO anyways. Maybe i'm wrong, it does happen. On the other hand I don't agree that we should be forced to pay for those that don't have insurance as in obamacare, most of the people that will help are the ones on welfare that are to lazy to go out and get a job.
