I am going to spare all logic, and personal opinion in this post. And, am instead, going to post my response in numbers and math.
At the current rate, our government spends 1.4 Trillion a year.
With the exception of numbers 9 and 13, your senator's plan holds NO spending cuts. So, it is safe to assume that this senator is okay with the current rate of government spending.
So here we go, line by line:
1. Revenue Increase of .7 T
2. Revenue Increase of .383 T
3. Revenue Increase of .582 T
4. Revenue Increase of .04 T
5. Revenue Increase of 1 T
6. Revenue Increase of .1 T
7. Revenue Increase of .73 T
8. Revenue Increase of .07 T
9. Spending Cut of .9 T
10. Is thrown out because of conflicting numbers.
11. A Government Expense? of .068 T
12. Revenue Increase of .5 T
13. Spending Cut of .2 T
Grand Total of Raised Taxes, Spending Cuts, etc over 10 years: 5.276 T
Total Government Expenditures over next 10 years: 14.3 T
Deficiency: 9.027 T
The numbers have spoken.
