Chip is from Utah, an interesting guy. There's plenty to agree and disagree with- I'm always very interested on wolves’ impact on coyotes.

Do you like coyotes? Honest question.
Do I like coyotes? Well, they're interesting creatures for sure, but I shoot (mostly "at") them when it's convenient. I'm a bird guy so I don't have as much of an interest in big-game as many do and I think they can be hard on young birds and nests (and I know they're tough on pronghorn fawns) and more importantly I've read that they are not as effective at controlling skunks and raccoons as wolves are (which seems odd to me- would love to see some research). So I guess I "like" them in small numbers, but in the timber I'd rather see wolves than coyotes. | |
