There's been a lot of posturing and chest pounding on each side, and I as I listened to my radio shows today I had an interesting thought.

What if a plan was proposed that had a dollar for dollar match on the ceiling raise to spending cuts, and came ridered with balanced budget amendment. Democrats get to keep those precious entitlements and Republicans block a tax raise. I'd say it's a fair compromise.

Maybe not exactly what should be done, but a middle road option.

Bottom line? they're worried about how this will all look going into an election year ... not about how We The People will be affected for years to come ... by they, I include the current administration and the Republicans who are fighting it

U.S. taxpayers likely lost $1.3 billion in the government bailout of Chrysler, the Treasury
Department announced Thursday. The government recently sold its remaining 6% stake
in the company to Italian automaker Fiat, wrapping up the 2009 auto bailouts that were
part of TARP. Chrysler said sales jumped 40% in June, its best month since 2007, before
they declared bankruptcy.
