That's right! FEMA money belongs to inner city minorities that are too stupid to leave when a natural disaster hits.

| I would vote for almost anyone ahead of Rick Perry. The guy seems dumber than George Bush, is a career politician, can't seem to separate religion from government and is a science ignoramus. (C's, lots of D's and some F's in college science and math.)
As for him taking credit for Texas job creation. The governor of a state has practically nothing to do with a state's job creation rate. Governors, for all intents and purposes, serve two roles: (1) cheerleader for various causes and (2) the Chief Operating Officer of the state's government workforce.
A state's legislature might pass (or repeal) laws that help create business-friendly environments, but a governor's contribution to this is minimal. Rick Perry taking credit for employment growth in Texas, to me, is just an indication of him being either an opportunist or too stupid to realize that it wasn't his doing. (He received a D in basic college economics, by the way.)
Call me crazy, but I'd rather not have someone in the Oval Office with below-average intellectual abilities.

You really gonna bag on him like that? Obama's transcripts are sealed.... Everybody just assumes that Obama is brilliant, but we don't really know ANYTHING about his "higher learning". We only know where, and even then..... I am honestly surprised to read a statement like that from you Pete. The more I learn about Perry, the more I am NOT happy with him.

Well, I probably should have said that I would vote for just about any of the currently running Republican contenders before I would vote for Rick Perry. My objections to Perry extend beyond his poor college grades and mediocre intelligence. The posts before mine pointed out other problems with the guy that I didn't feel a need to repeat. I also don't agree with his general leanings on foreign policy, separation of church and state, creationism being taught in the schools, and restrictions on civil liberties.
