National Guard should NOT be added to Joint Chiefs!

The last brick in the wall of totalitarianism is set in place when the states no longer control our National Guard forces. After this happens it will give Obama the power to declare martial law and control the masses through threat of force. All it will take is one more natural disaster, another 9/11 style attack, the inevitable destruction of the dollar or the food shortage that BHO's policies are setting us up for.

Sigh, better not break my own efforts to get debates going! What I meant to say was, why is it than this person who got into the position he is in and is able to attempt this change? How would this be beneficial? Whom would it benefit?

It only serves to conglomerate all military power into the hands of the Executive branch. Constitutionally established balances be damned.

There are no more checks and balances in place. We have a centralized government today. Sadly, people actually think this is a good thing........
