The disturbing trend is to try and prove that you are so much more conservative

Hardly 'first blood'. That was drawn months ago. Of the three candidates that are in the running for Bennett's seat, Mike Lee is far and away the one truly interested in shrinking the size/scope of the federal government. Bridgewater is just a younger version of Bennett, and Granato is another Harry Reid type suit. Truthfully, the race is between Lee and Brdgewater, and the Dem will be lucky to get over 40% of the votes. As for Bridgewater, having Bennett endorse him should be the final death nail in his bid as a conservative. He dirty campaign tactics will bite him in the ass as well. If he somehow makes it out of the Primary he will be forced to step down by September when he is linked by the FBI to the shady campaigning that took place right before the State Convention.

Maybe you didn't realize that NBA/NFL players get compensated from the PRIVATE sector while teachers get compensated from the PUBLIC sector. Just to clarify, the private sector does NOT force you to compensate NBA/NFL salaries. You only do so if you CHOOSE to buy a ticket(s) to an NBA/NFL game. Teachers are compensated by FORCE, you/me have to pay their salaries and their benefit packages whether we CHOOSE to or not. And, an NBA player only gets compensated for as long as the market deems his production to warrant it, whereas a teacher is compensated based on years of service and number of courses completed in 'higher learning', NOT based on production/results.

I would much rather my children be indroctinated into a conservative mindset than a mindless touchy feely liberal mindset. I do however think their should be a headtax for education let those that bred 'em pay to educate 'em.

I am amazed how some so easily call it mudslinging... Lee stated that he has very much in common with TB, he simply wanted to highlight where they differ--sounds perfectly logical to me--he then spoke of how he believes in smaller govt and how TB's business is about helping businesses get govt funding, or in making govt larger essentially. I don't in any way believe that fits my definition of mudslinging. Mudslinging would be to make personal items public or past problems and the like. I am very unimpressed how TB responded, it has made me think very little of him. However, I do like TB's point in his latest ad how Lee is an attorney as are 58 of the 100 current senators...
